This month’s challenge at Connie Can Crop is, “Use Your Stash”.
Our sponsor for the challenge is Bugaboo Stamps. Jodie of Bugaboo describes her images as seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum. She guarantees you’re bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.
I don’t know about you, but I have quite the stash; starting with paper. I’m a paper hoarder…there, I said it! A dozen years ago I subscribed to Club Scrap and each month I would get a pizza box full of the most luscious card stock and embellishments. I’d ooh and aah over the contents and then tuck them safely away because I didn’t want to use it up…heaven forbid. So, all these years later, I have the same luscious card stock and embellishments. I broke open the vault and used some…and nothing bad happened!
I decided upon a center-step card which I thought would be perfect to showcase Stella & Gus’s Person to Annoy digi stamp. I have a tutorial with a template for this card on the Hints, Tips & Tutorials page if you’d like it. The card stock is from Club Scrap’s January 2005 Kit, Mosaic Twist. The epoxy squares are from the same kit.
I colored Stella & Gus (which was also a purchase made some time ago so also stash) with Copic markers to coordinate with the card stock and accented their glasses and the heart with Glossy Accents. I used the Dots stamp from Stamps by Judith & Heather for the dotted background.
As with the greeting, I printed the sentiment on card stock and cut it to fit the interior of the card. The sentiment is included with the image…I did change it a bit to suit my card.
I hope you like my card and I sure hope you join us in Connie’s challenge this month. You can make any project you want, just use your stash. To link up your project or get additional details regarding the challenge, just click here.
