One of the new Eyelet Outlet products I got to use are these aliens! The set includes two sizes of aliens…and it just made me think of a Mr. & Mrs. Martian. From there the idea for my card came to me and it made me smile!
I did a search for free outer space images and came upon this one…it was the perfect background for my spaceship. I sprayed it liberally with Shimmer Spritz before adding it to my card base of Sweet Sugarplum by Stampin’ Up. I wasn’t able to capture the sparkle, but it makes me think of the stars.
If you’d like to make a card like this of your own, I’m happy to share the background with you. Just let me know in the comments section or e-mail me with your e-mail address.
The spaceship was cut using a file purchased in the Silhouette store. I cut several planets in complementary colors and placed them strategically around the spaceship, being sure to leave space for the “conversation” taking place.
I thought the sentiment inside was just perfect for the conversation on the front and so true and…universal! Here’s a picture of the sentiment, cut slightly smaller and matted on another panel of the outer space image.
That’s it for this card. I imagine this ET had better phone home to let the family know they’re going to be late 😉
