Sweet Tweet

Before I begin my post, I wanted to share I didn’t make a single Halloween card this year.  For me, that’s terrible because I love Halloween.  If you want you to see some past Halloween cards, here’s one post and here’s another.  Happy Halloween everyone!

And now for my post:

This is the i {heart} card sketches by From the Heart Stamps challenge sketch for this week:

And, of course, there’s the tWiSt they always include in the challenge and this week it’s to include a sentiment on the front.  Here’s my take on the sketch:

Sweet Tweet 2

As you can see, I flipped the image as I knew just what I wanted to do with the Candy Cane for Snowman digital image.  I separated the bird from the snowman so I could place them separately in the circle and rectangle. I colored them with Copics.  The greeting is actually part of this adorable set, but I was having trouble getting it to work for this card; so I borrowed Faith’s (artist) genius to create my own.  For additional pictures and a recipe, just click on the card.

Wish me luck on the sketch challenge!  I must have had beginners luck as I was Top 3 the first two times I joined the challenges and nothing since.   Gonna have to up my game if I can cause there are so many talented participants!

I also submitted this card to the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges- Christmas C4C310

Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge-Sparkle, Bling or Glitter

Simply Create Too-Baby It’s Cold Outside

Before I leave you, I want to give a shout out and a warm welcome to some new subscribers:

Vanita, Katie, Veronica, Janette and Pamela I am so glad you’re here and you’ve helped me reach another milestone.  It’s time for another contest!  Soon I will be picking a winner using True Random Number Generator and one lucky person will receive a bundle of Katydid Cards!

Thanks, Lynn. I’m not sure why, but I really struggled with this one. Changed things at least five times. Thanks, too, for the good luck wishes.

Thanks, Kelly. I have so many stamps I’ve never used. I want to, but then I keep getting new ones…a vicious cycle I tell ya!
