Sixty with The Cutting Cafe

Before I begin my post, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Patty and Peggy, my newest e-mail subscribers.  Thank you for joining us!

It’s Design Team Day at The Cutting Cafe.  This month “anything goes”, so I expect to see a wide array of projects from my fellow DT members…they never disappoint.   See what they created to share with you; just click here.

For my card today, I used the Milestone Number Shaped Cards.  This cut file is chock-full, having 14 cards for milestone events.  Not only that, it also has sentiments for each milestone.  The Cutting Cafe always does an awesome job of making sure there are plenty of coordinated sentiments…I like that a LOT.

April brings a milestone birthday to a very special family member, so I thought I’d make her a card as special as she is…if that’s even possible.

I made the card base using Melon Mambo card stock to coordinate with the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up.  I decided to make a slightly larger mat of Whisper White and that was a wise choice.  The greeting was made using the text to path in Silhouette.  I left a little space which was filled perfectly with a Heart Brad from Eyelet Outlet.

It was a bit of a challenge figuring out how I wanted to type the sentiment.  Finally, I opted to use the same text to path to follow the lines of the card.

I also want to share another card I made previously using this cut file.  You can see it in this post.  And, once again, if you’d like to see what the rest of the team has created, check it out here.  See you soon.
