We’re going on a road trip at The Cutting Cafe! Well, not really; though I would love to take a joy ride with my Design Team sisters. Instead, we’re using the It’s Road Trip Time Again cut file for our projects. Here’s mine:
I decided I to make a Triple Panel Standing Card using several components (and let me tell you there are a LOT of them with 74 images and 2 shaped cards) including the Interstate shape and inset pieces and the very cool Word Confetti background which I used as my patterned paper.
To begin, I printed and cut the word confetti first and decided it would look great matted on Basic Black with a card base of Basic Gray. I color matched the insets to the confetti as well; then print and cut them and matted them on black as well. For a bit of flair, I heat embossed the insets with clear embossing powder. Unfortunately, no matter what I tried, I couldn’t get a good picture to show you. I also ran a row of rhinestones, colored with a black Copic marker, between the green and gray pieces.
Here’s a view down from the top:
For the sentiment on the back of the card, I used several additional components; the words bordering the panel and the suitcases in the center. I just added a simple, “Enjoy your road trip” to it.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the team has done with this file. You can check it out, too, just by clicking here. You can also “like” the Cutting Cafe on Facebook to keep up with all the latest and to share your projects made with The Cutting Cafe files. And The Cutting Cafe has a sister store, too! You can find that here.
