It’s time for a new challenge at Connie Can Crop. This month the challenge is, “recycle”; to create a project using something recycled or reused. I had two ideas in mind and was so torn as to which one to make. This is the card that won the toss-up:
I recycled newspaper for this card. There’s no shortage of newspaper in this house, so using it popped into my head immediately. I had to think a bit more about just how.
I used a the Congrats Shaped Card cut file from The Cutting Cafe and cut it from Bazzill 12″ x 12″ card stock. I made the card larger than its intended size of 9″ x 3 1/2″. It’s almost 12″ wide…that’s BIG. The file also includes two mats; so I cut one from Basic Black and the other from the newsprint.
And to play off the news paper and the size of the card, I typed the sentiment using the Times New Roman font in black.
If I get the chance during the month, I’ll made the second card of which I was thinking. It involves something else there’s plenty of around here…bubble wrap.
Now it’s your turn to enter the challenge. One winner, picked at random will win a $20 gift certificate to this month’s sponsor, Paper Crafting World.
