A Pirate’s Life for Me Blog Hop

Yo Ho Yo Ho

Ahoy there me Matey!!  If ye scallywags want to see some treasures created by these cool landlubbers than ye have come to the right place! Cause we are about to Shiver yer timbers and Batten down the hatches!!

Ye should have arrived from me trusty pirate, Alicia’s blog.  If ye just happened upon this gem of a hop, our mighty sea dog is Captain Connie Can Crop and she is the first stop in this hop.

This is a one day blog hop, but ye have until Sunday to finish hopping and leaving your comments for all of these talented scallywags.

We have an awesome sponsor for this month! With amazing pirate booty!

One lucky winner will win a digital image from Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamps.  Be sure to check out her shop online HERE and visit her on Facebook HERE.

What do you need to do to win? Easy… become a follower of each of the fabulous blogs in this hop and leave each of them a comment letting them know what you like best about their projects.  You will have until 10 pm Sunday to finish the hop and leave your comments.  Winners will be announced on Wednesday 6/21/17 at Connie Can Crop.
Be sure to follow everyone and leave a comment along the way!

And I have a little give-away, too!  Do you attend the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo each year?  Well, if you do, you will be excited to hear I’m giving away two vouchers for free admission to any show (except New Jersey as they don’t participate ๐Ÿ™ ).  The vouchers are good for the balance of the year.   I don’t know about you, but I would love to win these to have that much more money to spend inside the Expo…at the Eyelet Outlet booth!  For your chance to win, all you need to do is leave me a comment telling me what you like best about blog hops!

All hands on deck!  Thar she blows!

My first card showcases the Pirate image from our sponsor, Sasayaki Glitter.  He works perfectly for our hop theme this month.

Ahoy wm 1

I sized and printed the image on Neenah Solar White card stock before cutting him and the other pieces using the Window Wave card I purchased in the Silhouette store.  I eliminated the window and flipped the orientation because I never can leave well enough alone.  I used Marina Mist and Pacific Point card stocks for the base and mat and finished off the edges with white Prills to simulate sea-foam.

I colored this little guy with Copic markers to coordinate with the card stock.  As a final touch, I coated the shovel, boots and vest with Wink of Stella.

Next up, I have a treasure map for you.  I used a Miss Kate Cuttables cut file, but converted it into a card…and made a few other changes as well

Treasure Map wm 1

I used shades of brown from Very Vanilla as the lightest to Soft Suede as the darkest.  There are two layers/shades between them for which I used Bazzill scraps I had in my stash.   The original cut file had a ship and a skull & crossbones, but I removed them as I wanted to use the Pirate Ship Brad from Eyelet Outlet and a skull from confetti I had.  I cut the “X” from scrap; coated it with Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.

For my last card, I made a Skull & Crossbones….can’t live a pirates life without these, right?

Skull & Crossbones wm 1

This was a simple card; made using a Lori Whitlock cut file purchased in the Silhouette store.  I used Basic Black and Whisper White with a bit of sponging in black.

Inside I made a simple greeting with another Brad from Eyelet Outlet.

Walking the plank next is Marji.  I know you will enjoy seeing what she’s made for you!

Wowee! Such wondrous contributions to the hop! I know you are on a couple (or more) teams… but… are you a coordinator/sales associate/designer for a company (you know what I mean… like Stampin’ Up!, CTMH, etc…)? You’d be WONDERFUL!!!!
