Piled High

I wanted to join in the fun at Sketch Saturday this week.  Here’s a picture of their challenge sketch:

386I decided I wanted to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the image and make a tall, thin card.  That meant I had to use a tall, thin image as well and I found one that worked perfectly.

I decided I wanted to try some non-traditional colors this year for variety.  I guess you already figured that out since blue, brown and orange are about as far from traditional as you can get.  After masking and sponging around the image, I colored the snowmen with Copics to match the “Chill Out” digital paper from Sweet Shoppe Designs.  For a little bling, I added Wink of Stella to the snowmen, rhinestones for the buttons and Liquid Applique for the fur trim on the hats.  I added tiny snowflakes around the perimeter.  The wooden snowflake embellishments are from Stampin’ Up as is the orange satin ribbon.
