Welcome to the National Cat Day Blog Hop!
If you came from Haidee’s blog, you are in right spot. But if you happened to arrived at my blog first, you want to start the fun at Haidee’s blog!
I am excited to have you hop with us! Each blogger participating in this hop is featuring a crafty project involving a “Cat”, so you’ll find lots of unique ideas having featuring felines. We hope you’ll enjoy each and every project along the way.
Be sure to leave a comment at each hop to show some blog lovin’ and to qualify to win a fabulous prize offered by our hostess, Haidee. Check out this haul! It’s too big to fit in the picture! Remember to comment on each blog for a chance to win.
The project I originally intended to share had to be removed because it was selected to be published in Scrap N’ Art Magazine. Exciting news I wanted to share with you, but I can’t show it anywhere else for two months. So come back for a visit December, okay?
So onto my alternate project, a sliding pop-up card featuring a sly kitty which was made into a cut file by my talented sister-in-law. (Thank you, Rosie)
When you pull on that little tab, this is what happens:
You can see I personalized it, which I love to do on all my cards. The patterned paper is One Birdie Lane from NitWit Collections. Card stock and brads from Stampin’ Up. The feathers? You’ll have to ask the cat about that!
My next card is an Interlocking Gate-Fold Card. If you click on the card, it will take you to the gallery to see why it’s called that.
The patterned paper I used was from the digital kit, Tail Wags from NitWit Collections. I changed the colors, however, to match the card stock I used; Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White by Stampin’ Up. I think the font I used, AR Carter, to computer generate the greeting and sentiment are just perfect for this card.
I know you’ve got another blog to get to, but I wanted to share a mini album I made in memory of my little calico cat, Pumpkin. Here’s the cover page; click on it if you want to see the rest of the album (scroll to the lower portion of the page).
I still have some work to do on this, but I’m pretty happy with it thus far. It came together pretty easily with the Brag Book Album template by Misty Cato through Sweet Shoppe Designs and the Me-Wow Digital Collection by NitWit Collections.
Okay, I’ve held you up long enough. Off to your next stop, the talented Connie.
