My Cup Runneth Over at The Cutting Cafe

Our challenge at The Cutting Cafe today is to use the 3D Cup.  I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to create, but found the 28 printable sentiments included in the file a great inspiration.  In the end, I decided to pair my cup with the Fun with Frosty the Snowman Printable Stamp Set to make this:

Snowman Soup

Snowman Soup made with 3D Cup from The Cutting Cafe

I used some old patterned paper from Basic Grey called Eskimo Kisses, but this Retro Christmas Collection would be perfect for this cute and clever Christmas gift.  Assembly was easy as 1-2-3 thanks to the easy to follow video tutorial for the here

I banded the top and bottom of the cup with color coordinated ribbon from Stampin’ Up ribbon topped by Clear Jewel Bling Strips by Eyelet Outlet.  The snowflake paper in the center of the cup called out for bling as well.

I tucked two packages of hot cocoa mix, a bag of mini marshmallows, Hershey Kisses.  There should also be a candy cane, but there are none to be found in the month of August!  Please use your imagination and see it there among the other ingredients.

For the finishing touches, I added the snowman and the snowman soup poem.  I changed the poem slightly as I will be giving this to an adult.  I also created a mirror image so my tag could be double-sided.  On the reverse I put directions to make delicious snowman soup.  Here’s a closer look at them:

You have that paper in your shop? That’s excellent to know. You have so much more there than I expected to find, so I shouldn’t be surprised you have this paper, too!

Thanks, Barbara. If you watched the video, you’ll see why I like The Cutting Cafe tutorials so much…so easy to follow and not a lot of fluff that’s not related to the project at all. I have a short attention span, so I need tutorials to get to the point, lol
