This month’s Miss Kate Cuttables theme is Wedding!
Before I share my card, though, I want to remind you Miss Kate offers a free cut file every day. To get yours, just click here…but don’t forget to come back!
For my card today, I used the Love cut file. Wait ’til you see this file…it’s chock full of options. I used the wedding cake and the love title.
The cake is designed to be cut in one piece, but I broke it into layers to make it a shaker. In the openings I inserted confetti I found at a party store; small hearts in the tip, bride and groom words in the center and bride and groom figures in the bottom. The same figure is used as the cake topper. Here’s a look at the shaker contents from another angle:
I mounted the shaker on a piece of Brushed Silver Card Stock. The front was to plain for my taste, so I created an internal offset and embossed the panel with the Textile embossing folder. I decided to use the flowers from the cut file as well, cutting them in Regal Rose Card Stock; a pearl in the center of each in three sizes.
For the inside of the card, I used the Mr. & Mrs Title, converting it to print only. I matted it on more Brushed Silver.
