First, don’t forget to pick up your Freebie of the Day at Miss Kate’s today…and every day!
Today is the start of the challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables. This month, the theme is school. Although it has been many (many, many) years since I was in school, I can still remember how excited I was when it was time for “back to school”.
Here’s the front of my card using the Apple on Books cut file. It sits on a mat of digital paper from the Teacher’s Pet collection by Tracey Howard and then on a card base of Pacific Point card stock by Stampin’ Up:
A nice little surprise, right? This is a book fold card I cut using a cut file purchased in the Silhouette store. The digital patterned papers come from the same kit. The centerpiece is another Miss Kate’s file, Learn, Discover & Grow Title, which I converted to print only except for the outer edge. I also cut it down the middle as I wanted it to span the two pages of the book.
Here’s another look at the card from above so you can see the intricate cuts and folds:
So now it’s your turn to enter the challenge at Miss Kate’s Facebook Group. The requirements for the challenge are to follow the theme of the month and use a Miss Kate Cuttable’s file in your creation, including any/all freebies you have. The challenge will run from this evening through the 4th Monday of each month. Winners will be announced, in the group, Friday of challenge end week. Remember this month’s theme is school. Good luck!
See you next month with yet another challenge project!
