A warm welcome goes out to Georgiana, Mellisa and Rachel, my newest followers. So glad you’ve joined us.
The challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables this month is, appropriately, “Red, White & Blue”.
Before I continue, I want to remind you that Miss Kate offers a free cut file each and every day. You can get yours here.
And now, to my card:
This card was made using the American Flag cut file. While the flag is pretty in its own right, I decided to take advantage of the open, white spaces by inserting patriotic sayings in various font styles. This was easy to line us in my Silhouette Cameo.
After I printed the Whisper White panel, I attached the Night of Navy and Real Red cut pieces. It looked a little plain, so I decided to emboss it with Stampin’ Up’s Seaside embossing folder. I thought it would give the appearance of the flag waving in the breeze.
For the inside, I used another Miss Kate’s file. This time the I Heart USA Title, converting it to print only. I attached it to a Night of Navy mat to make it stand out!
So now it’s your turn to enter the challenge at Miss Kate’s Facebook Group. The requirements for the challenge is to follow the theme of the month and use a Miss Kate Cuttable’s file in your creation, including any/all freebies you have. The challenge will run from this evening through the 4th Monday the month. Winners will be announced, in the group, Friday of challenge end week. Remember this month’s theme is Red, White & Blue. Good luck!
