The challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables this month is to make a card; any kind of card using any of Miss Kate’s cut files, including the freebie of the day which you can find just by clicking on the link.
Being a wee bit Irish, I decided I would make a St. Patrick’s Day card using this adorable Leprechaun file.
I thought a nice way to display him would be with a sliding window card; so that’s just what I did. I used a cut file purchased in the Silhouette store, but I also have a template for you if you don’t have a cutting machine or would prefer to cut it by hand. This freebie is on the Hints, Tips & Tutorials page.
The digital patterned paper is from the Irish at Heart Kit by Linda’s Digi Creations. The card stock is Garden Green and More Mustard (retired) by Stampin’ Up…my go to for all my card stock. Rather than cutting the Leprechaun pieces from card stock, I opted to print and cut them so I could match it perfectly to the patterned paper. Here’s a shot of the slider mechanism as you start to pull:
And here it is fully opened. From the front:

For my greeting and sentiment, I used a saying I found on the Internet. Here’s the finish to what you see on the front.
