Welcome to the
We’d like to say a HUGE THANKS to our sponsor:
They are giving one luck winner a class of their choice. Click on the image to see the classes they have to offer. Having taken a number of their classes, I can tell you you’re going to love this prize!
All you have to do to win this fabulous prize is comment on each of the blogs. That’s right! It really is that easy. Of course, we would love it if you became a subscriber/follower of each blog, too.
You should have arrived here from my blog hop buddy, Denise. Now on with the hop!
The first thing that comes to mind when I think “masculine” is tools. I’ve made quite a few tool themed cards for that reason coupled with the fact that I love tools myself use them often, though not always correctly! A wise man once said, “Never use a pair of pliers as a hammer. That’s what screwdrivers are for.”
This card was made using an SVGCuts cut file. I’ve got to say I love almost every kit they introduce and own almost every one, too. Mary at SVGCuts must be infatuated with box cards because she’s designing a lot of them these days. Fine by me because they’re a real hit with friends and family! This card was made using Stampin’ Up’s Basic Gray, Brushed Silver, Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Whisper White card stock. The Patterned Paper, also Stampin’ Up is from the Adventure Bound stack. I got the 1/4″ screw head brads from A. C. Moore.
The card is going to a very special person who is a real handyman but also uses his tools creatively, making Intarsia pieces for the holidays. Its one of my favorite gifts every year. When Christmas comes around again, I’ll have to take pictures of the treasures we have that he’s made and share them with you.
Here’s another tool themed card; this time a tool belt.
This card has quite a few components, each tool has at least two layers and the belt has “stitched” layers, both front and back. The tools are removable and have sentiments on the back referencing that particular tool. It’s a tri-fold card and fits in a standard envelope. If you like this idea but not all the work, I have a tutorial for a simpler version I’m happy to share with you. If you make one, I’d love for you to share a picture with me.
But all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy or so they say, so I’m going to share some fun-time cards as well.
First up, some darts!
Clicking on any of the cards will take you to the gallery to see additional images. I hope you visit there as well.
Your next stop is the talented Sarah. And, in case you get lost along the way, here’s the entire blog hop line-up.
