I Feel Like a Martini at Eyelet Outlet

I immediately thought about a digital stamp I had in my stash when I saw these Eyelet Outlet’s Martini & Olive Brads.

It’s not an obvious connection, as you can see; but this is just how my mind works.  I don’t think my dog would appreciate my humor, but I hope you do.

The card base was created for a previous card, so most of the work was done already.  All that was needed was to fill my mats with patterned paper.  I found a great companion paper in the Cosmic Martini paper pack by Tindaisies.  After cutting and printing the patterned paper, I color matched it to the card stock, Old Olive and Sweet Sugarplum with Whisper White for the focal image and sentiment.  I cut and print the remaining pieces and assembled my card.  Here’s a look at the card from the top:

After coloring my image with Copic markers, I added the perfect accompaniment for a martini (and this card); two olives on a toothpick.  Down each side, I placed three martinis to a strip of Pink Checked Washi Tape.   I mounted the washi on card stock first and then attached it with mounting tape.  Here’s a picture of the washi first and then a close-up of my card.

For the reverse of the card, I used another paper from the paper pack.   I typed my sentiment and added another digital stamp of a row of martini glasses.  One more martini gets added to the row for a final touch.

And I’m so glad you joined me today.  These brads are being discontinued; so if you like them you need to hurry to the Eyelet Outlet store and get them while supplies last.  See you soon with another project.

This is just too cute! Daisy Mae had to wear one of these collars one time and was not a fan! You are right…Katy may not appreciate your humor, but I sure did. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I love the colors and the pink trim! I feel sorry for dogs with the cone on their head, but I know it’s for medicinal purposes.

I love your card and the idea behind it. I bought those same brads at the Mega Meet last year, but of course still haven’t used them. May have to come up with an idea like this. I know I will get caught up in the moment at this years Mega Meet when I go to the Eyelet Outlet booth and buy even more because they are all so cute.

  5. I have these eyelets! thanks for the inspiration!

I'd love to hear from you. I so appreciate your comments!
