Before I share my last post as a DT member for Sunsational Stamps, I would love to extend a warm welcome to Karla and OneHappyMom as my newest subscribers. I’m so happy you’ve joined our little tribe and hope I am able to provide you with content that will interest and inspire you.
It’s hard to believe summer will be over soon and it will be “back to school” time. I decided I would use this cute Hoo Loves School stamp to create a card which celebrates this exciting time, wishing your student an A+ year.
I printed the image on Whisper White card stock and colored it with Copic markers. For the books, I used the digital patterned paper from Teacher’s Pet Kit by Tracey Howard as my guide for colors. Using that kit, I printed a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel using one of the adorable prints and matted it (and the focal image) on Basic Black card stock. To be economical (so I have more to spend on other craft goodies), I cut the smaller mat from the middle of the larger. And no one knows, but us! I also filled the three banners with patterns from the same kit.
The cute greeting on the front is included with the stamp. Inside I created a sentiment with a font I thought would pair nicely.
While I made this owl card to celebrate the start of school, I made another with an owl to celebrate the end of the school year. You can link to it here if you’d like to see it.
