I have so many incredible goodies from Eyelet Outlet I want to use in my design team posts, I’m having quite a difficult time deciding upon which I want to work with first.
I finally decided upon the Clear Bumpy Bling and it couldn’t have been a more perfect choice for the bunny tails on this Easter card.
The card was made using a cut file purchased in the Silhouette store. I wanted to make the card smaller; to fit in a 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ remittance envelope, but I also wanted to maintain the proportions, so I had to add a little banner to the top of the card to get it to the proper height.
I cut each bunny in a different color; Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Pretty in Pink, all from Stampin’ Up. Additionally, I used three embossing folders, Spring Flowers, Spring Leaves and Swiss Dots for variety and dimension. The base is SU’s Baked Brown Sugar. To ensure good adhesion, I used Ranger Multi-Medium.
The Bumpy Bling is adhesive backed, so they were a breeze to attach to the bunny “butts”. It’s asking a lot of embellishments to hold firm to embossed backgrounds, and I often add liquid adhesive to strengthen the bond; but these held extremely well on their own.
Here’s a closer look at the bling. I tried to capture how it catches the light, but I’m afraid I didn’t do them justice.
Look at all that luscious dimension.
To create the greeting and the sentiment using the Abadi MT Condensed Extra Bold. The greeting was color matched to the card base and, for something a little different, I colored them to match the bunnies on the front.
