Eggs-cuse to Celebrate at Paper Crafting World

Paper Crafting World has this Baby Ducky with Basket and Ears PNC and it was just calling my name.   This is also available as a Cut File.   I opted for the Print and Cut because the easel box was a little more complicated, so it was nice that all the Baby Ducky’s shading was done for me.

I did print the ducky twice and fussy cut his head, basket and foot to attach with dimensionals.  One of the eggs in his basket was my guide to picking the digital patterned paper from the Coastal Kit from NitWit Collections.  Once I printed that, I color matched it to the card stock; Marina Mist.

I made the base using a Lori Whitlock cut file; two actually as one was an easel and the other a gift card holder.  My version incorporates both but rather than a gift card, I inserted the sentiment.  Here you can see the drawer base, opened.  It’ll be perfect for some wrapped chocolate easter eggs!

The greeting is from My Digital Studio.  For the sentiment, I matched the fonts to the greeting using Times New Roman and Alex Brush.  It was all color matched to the patterned paper, but I converted the outline to black, increased the print to .2 and selected print line for fear the light blue wouldn’t stand out enough to read it clearly.

To set the drawer off beautifully, I used an Eyelet Outlet Jewel Brad as the drawer pull.  It’s nice and sturdy, so you can tug on it without worrying it will pull off.

Here’s a view of the card from the side, so you can see the easel.

And here it is closed.

Did you get the box somewhere or is that another cut file? They could be used for so many small gifts. Great card and even though it is a print and cut file, you still made is special by popping up the additional elements.

I'd love to hear from you. I so appreciate your comments!
