This week we could pick any Easter themed file we wanted to use to make our The Cutting Cafe project. Whew, that was difficult because are LOTS of great files from which to choose.
I finally decided on the Egg Wreath Printable Set and this is the card I made with it:
A tent card with an opening for the little bunny to peek through is what I decided to make. I had the base for the tent card already, so I imported the egg wreath and traced around the entire wreath (to make the center hole) and the individual pieces. Each egg is filled with digital patterned paper from the Eggstra Special kit from NitWit Collections. From the same set I created a mat. Here’s a look from the side just in case you weren’t sure what a tent card is:
I cut the bunny from white card stock and his nose from the same pink as the card base. I drew the eyes and sponged his ears and cheeks. His whiskers are black embroidery floss. I added a little tag greeting using the AlwaysHere font with some pink embroidery floss as a final touch.
On the back of the card, I typed the sentiment with the same font and added the eggs across the bottom using the Easter Borders file with the same patterned papers.
All the design team members’ projects will appear on The Cutting Cafe Blog on March 21st. Be sure to pop over there to see the wide array of Easter inspiration you’ll find there.
