Cooped Up at Eyelet Outlet

These Chicken Brads from Eyelet Outlet look so real, I’m craving chicken for dinner tonight.  In the meantime, I’ll show you the card I made featuring…chicken, of course.

When I saw these brads, I knew just what I wanted to do with them; so I set out to find a chicken coop to fit the bit.  I think this one worked out better than I could ever have hoped.  It’s Whimsical Graphics Collection Hen House

I sized it to work with the chicken and this Belly Band Circle Card by Lori Whitlock purchased in the Silhouette Store.  In order to weld it to the band, I traced it and offset by just a smidge.  I cut the band it Basic Gray card stock.

I wanted a patterned paper with a homespun feel, so I found this green gingham.  Unfortunately, I didn’t write down from which digital kit I got it and now I can’t find it.  I think the green really sets the focal image off nicely.  I matted that on gray as well, just enough so it peeks out.  Here’s what the card looks like with the band off.

I cut the base, greeting and sentiment from Very Vanilla card stock and sponged the edges with Basic Gray.  The Bandit font was used the card in Basic Gray.

Hope you enjoyed this card.
