Color Challenge at Connie Can Crop

This month Connie Can Crop has a Color Challenge for us.  Connie challenged us to use these colors; perfect for this time of year!  I love all the colors of Autumn, so this challenge was right up my alley!

Since our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps, I made a card using one of their digis.  There are quite a few under the category of Fall.  And here’s my card:

Autumn Scarecrow wm 1

The image I used is the Autumn Scarecrow.  I printed it on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored it with Copic markers; using a light, medium and dark in each colorway.  The sits on triple mats with three of the five colors; Summer Sun, Island Indigo and Cajun Craze.  They were centered on a larger scalloped rectangle cut from Well Worn patterned paper by Stampin’ Up.   Lastly, I added everything to a card base of Cajun Craze.

To finish I stamped randomly in Cajun Craze using the Dots Dowel from Stamps by Judith & Heather.  As a finishing touch, I added rhinestones in two sizes; colored with the same Copic colors.

Inside, a simple sentiment.  So simple, in fact, I forgot to take a picture of it.

In July of last year, Connie Can Crop had another color challenge.  I really liked the colors she selected and the card I made, so I thought I would share the link if you’d like to take a look.

Now it’s your turn to enter the challenge.  You can make any sort of project you want so long as it incorporates the colors above.  One entry, picked at random will win a prize from Bugaboo!  For more information or to link up your project, click here.  And please visit Bugaboo at their store, challenge blog or Facebook page…or all three!

I really like extending a warm welcome to all my new subscribers, but recent changes in WordPress have made it a bit difficult to identify you by name.  So, I just want you to know how much I appreciate you even though I’m not giving you a personal shout-out.  So glad you’ve joined us!
