Our sponsor for this hop is Theresa, a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator.  She will be giving away a $20 Stampin’ Up Gift Certificate to one lucky winner AND take 10% off any order placed through her (not available on website) by July 30th.  Email her at scrapsbygracie AT gmail.com with your order.

All you have to do to win this fabulous prize is comment on each of the blogs.  That’s it! It really is easy.  Of course, we would love it if you became a follower, too.  And, if you become a follower of my blog, you will be entered in a card bundle give-away when I reach 100 e-mail subscribers (although my Networked Blogs and Bloglovin followers will be included in the drawing).

If you arrived here from the talented Theresa’s blog, you’re in the right place.  If you came here directly, you may want to start the hop at the beginning so you don’t miss a thing and increase your chances of winning by commenting on all the blogs in the hop.  However you arrived, I’m just so glad you’re here.

Here’s what I have to share with you today:

I have to admit, tt was a bit difficult for me to work up the mojo to make Christmas cards.  But I’m certainly going to be glad come late November when all these cards are done.

First, I made a simple Joy-Fold card using a long retired Stampin’ Up set, Holiday Line-Up.  Of the three stamps in this set, these adorable reindeer are my favorite.

Christmas in July Blog Hop-Holiday Line-Up. I made this using a retired Stampin' Up set that I still love. Joy-fold cards are so easy to make, but they have a bit of the unexpected.

To keep this post from being overly long and keeping you from your next stop in the hop, I decided not to share the details about the card here.  If you want to know more about its construction and to see additional images, just click on the card and it will take you to the gallery where you will find both.  Also, there’s a template on the Hint’s, Tips & Tutorials page.  I also have a Silhouette Studio V3 file to share if anyone would care for it…just let me know in the comments section or by e-mail.

Next up is a “sweet” card…it’s candy!  I made it with a cut file from the Clara’s Christmas Eve Kit from SVGCuts.  As with the first card, you can find the details in the gallery by clicking on the card; but if you just like looking at the images, I have some snippets here for you.

Here’s you can see the card base, cut from acetate.  This is the “twist” on either side of the candy.

I don’t know how clearly you can see it, but I spritzed this with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz…love this stuff!

Inside, a greeting from Sweet Season by Stampin’ Up (digital), color matched to the patterned paper.

I made this next card with a cut file from the Clara’s Christmas Eve Kit as well.  I took my color cues from the patterned paper and I have to say I would never have thought to make a snowflake in shades of purple, but I love how it turned out.  Details are in the gallery, but I’m sharing highlights here.

Here’s a close-up showing all the luscious layers on this card.

And another shot showing all the sparkle because I went crazy with the Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz again.

I think the greeting inside compliments the card perfectly.
