Some of you may remember seeing this post previously if you subscribe via e-mail. I don’t know how that happened as I scheduled it for today. Just a WordPress hiccup or “operator error”; most likely the latter. My apologies for the duplication.
Also, I’d like to welcome Stampnk and Diana as my newest followers…thank you so much!
I’m continuing on as a design team member of Paper Crafting World for 2017, so I’ll be posting twice a month with a new project using their adorable cut files. This month I’m using the Chocolate Moose Cut File to make this center-step card.
It’s been a while since I’ve made a center-step card and every time I do, I wonder why it’s taken me so long to make another one. And the moose seems to be happy taking center stage. so it’s all good!
The color scheme on this card started with, all of places, the moose’s nose; which I was cutting from Chocolate Chip card stock. I used digital Chocolate and Teal Medley by Charmed Crimson. I opted to use the stripe and color matched the center oval to the dark teal. After printing and cutting it, I found Bermuda Bay card stock was the nicest match.
I cut the moose from my Stampin’ Up scraps. All the pieces were sponged with corresponding ink and then assembled on the front of the card. I popped his little head for additional dimension.
Inside, I created a sentiment using the Creative Keepsakes Frosting font, playing off the moose cut file. I copied the pie and placed it in the corner, converting it to print only.
That’s a wrap for this card. See you soon with another project!
