You will have until 10 pm Sunday to finish the hop and leave your comments. Winners will be announced on Wednesday 8/23/17 at Connie Can Crop.
Be sure to follow everyone and leave a comment along the way!
And now to my projects:
The title of this hop makes me think of surfing, of course. My first card is perfect for all those “surfer dudes” out there! I think this cut file from SVGCuts is so darn cute. If you’re interested in how this card came together, click on the image and it will take you to the gallery with all the details and additional views.
But, since our projects can extend to include waves or water, I thought I would share a card using this adorable image from Eat Cake Graphics. It’s called, “Scooter’s Day at the Pool“. I made another card using this image. If you’re interested in seeing it, you can find it here.
I really like easel cards. The clever fold allows you to display the front and the sentiment inside simultaneously. Love the card stock and patterned paper on this card, too. The card stock is long retired Stampin’ Up.
My last card was inspired by the quote. I’m not sure where I got this stamp; I got it in the days before I was keeping track. It’s such a great sentiment and, in my opinion, true. Before I began sponging, I cut a rectangle frame from Stick-It to use as a mask. To create the waves I tore a piece of paper and sponged in layers. The sky was sponged randomly in purple. Once that was done, I stamped the quote and the birds. Next I cut the rectangle from the center and matted both panels on black card stock. I tore a piece of tan card stock and splattered it darker ink. Before adding it to a piece of Confetti White card stock, I finished off with some colored and fussy cut shells and twine.
Hang Ten Dudes and Dudettes!! Now SURF on over to the talented Holli’s blog. I know she’ll be sharing something you’ll love, cause I got to see a sneak peek!
Here’s our amazing line up in case you get lost:
