But That’s Not the Whole Story…

If you read my post yesterday about Sister Francis Cecile, you already know she is celebrating her 50th year in religious life!  I find that awe-inspiring!  I hope and pray she loves her card.  Pat, who asked me to make the card, called me to tell me she was very happy with it.  Pat always has kind words to share.

But Sister isn’t all nun and no play.  Nope, she’s as fun-loving as the rest of us.  In fact, this is a card I was asked to make for her a number of years ago for her birthday.

Jackpot 1

As you can see, Sister, or Margaret as she is called in life outside the convent, enjoys playing the slots!  A perfect theme for this birthday card using the “Slot Mama” digital stamp from Priscillastyles Store.  I colored the image using Photoshop Elements (love that software),  The patterned paper is “Jackpot” from Stampin’ Up as is the Basic Black, Real Red & Whisper White card stock as well as the interior stamp from the “Game Night” set.  The balance of the sentiment and the greeting are computer generated.  The border punch is by Fiskars, but I can’t remember its name and can’t seem to find it on-line anywhere.  And the quarter is from the US Mint!  I thought it would be a great addition to the card and who knows, it may have been the quarter that won her a jackpot!

If you’ve a mind to do it, click on the card and it will take you to the gallery to see additional images.

I'd love to hear from you. I so appreciate your comments!
