Welcome to the Bee Happy Blog Hop
We are buzzing with joy!! It’s Spring, the birds are singing and the bees are buzzing! So happy you decided to join us in this fun bee themed blog hop today!
What do you need to do to win? Easy… become a follower of each of the fabulous blogs in this hop and leave each a comment letting them know what you like best about their projects. You will have until 10 pm Sunday to finish the hop and leave your comments. Winner will be announced on Wednesday 4/20/16 at Connie Can Crop.
You should have buzzed on over from the Queen Bee’s, Connie Can Crop, hive. If you landed here first, you should start at the beginning. However you got here, I’m just so happy you’re visiting me! I hope you enjoy what I’ve shared with you…and now to the cards:
First up, an adorable shaker card made with a several cut files from The Cutting Cafe. For the card base, I used the Scallop Shaker card base from the 13 Shaker Card Templates. (You read that right…there’s a total of 13 templates in ONE file…talk about a deal!) The adorable background for the shaker contents is from the Beehive Shaped Card Set as is the bee which is reduced in size to be part of my shaker contents…the beauty of digital cut files is you can make them any size you want!
Next is another card base from the Cutting Cafe, this time the Card with Front Window from the Assorted Card Folds-Set 2. I love the peek-a-boo effect of this card and it’s cute note card size. To embellish this card, I used the Bee’s Knees Collection from NitWit Collections.
For my third card, I made a hexagon shaped card base and then manipulated a pop-up cut file purchased in the Silhouette Design Store to fit inside. I created the greeting and sentiment using the Blatant and AlwaysHere fonts.
And it wouldn’t be a bee themed blog hop without a beehive, now would it? So I’m sharing one I designed in the Silhouette by creating various sizes of rounded rectangles and an oval and played around with them until I got something I liked…of course, it took me a l-o-n-g of time to finish, but here are the fruits of my labor.
And finally a digital scrapbook page of Katy, my Cavalier and namesake of this blog. This was from Halloween, 2009 and not only did she have to endure wearing a costume but a little at home photo shoot as well. She’s a good sport and allows me these frivolous moments.
And now you’re going to buzz on over to the ever so talented Angela’s blog who will have something wonderful for you. I know cause I got a sneak peek!
“Bee” sure to follow everyone and leave a comment along the way!
